AMIOR- indigenous women association

The Brazilian AMIOR, associação de mulheres indígenas organizadas em rede, (association of indigenous women organized in a network) is a force to be reckoned with.

These Indigenous women are bravely resisting gender violence and other forms of violence within and outside their territories.

Their powerful words at the "Jornada de Agroecologia" conference held in Curitiba, Paraná, at the Federal University, resonated deeply: "My body is my first territory. Respect it."
