Dialogues between women and afro percussion- La Dunya

This project originated from the African Laboratory of the Arts Faculty at Paraná in Brazil. It brought together four women, representing four facets of the drum: the woman of skin, the woman of rhythm, the woman of time, and the woman of sound. Together, they wove a profound connection—a web of empowerment.

Through their encounters with the drum and ancestral African references, they explored the liberation of their voices and reclaimed the power of African heritage embodied within themselves.
